Autobrite Ceramic Shield Pro Coating is our user-friendly ceramic coating, designed to provide a straightforward application process that combines great durability with excellent hydrophobicity and the ultimate gloss.
After a lengthy development and in-depth testing program, we are confident you will enjoy our Ceramic Shield Lite as much as we do!
Offering a lower active ceramic content than the Pro means a longer working time can be achieved, this in turn makes application much easier for the enthusiast detailer.
Suitable for a variety of surfaces including paint, PPF, vinyl wraps, gelcoat, carbon and plastics.
Safe for use on gloss, satin and matte painted surfaces, creating a depth enhancement on both satin and matte surfaces.
- 3-year ceramic coating
- 3.5 H hardness
- UV resistant
- Hydrophobic
- High-gloss finish
- For optimal application, ensure the vehicle is clean and free from surface contaminants.
For optimal adhesion and finish, we recommend performing a paint correction step before applying a ceramic coating. - The surfaces to be coated should first be treated with Prep-It surface preparation solution or equivalent to remove any residual polishing oils. (The surface should be cool and dry.)
- To prepare your new suede applicator, apply about 5-6 drops of coating evenly distributed over the surface. For subsequent applications, a thin line along the center is sufficient.
- Apply the product evenly to an area no larger than 40 x 40 cm (15 x 15 inches) for full coverage and an even layer. We recommend using a crosshatch technique.
- Allow the product to sit on the surface for 1-2 minutes before removing. Use a clean, lint-free towel to lightly buff the area to level the coating before using a second towel to remove any remaining product. Always buff an area larger than the initial application to prevent product transfer and curing on adjacent panels.
- Check the area with a suitable light source to identify any high spots or remaining residue. High spots can be removed briefly by applying more product and removing it immediately. Care should be taken to identify and remove any streaks or high spots before the curing process is complete.
- For maximum durability, allow the coating to cure for approximately 18-24 hours at ambient temperature before exposing it to rain or moisture. During the first 48 hours after application, remove any water droplets by drying them where possible to prevent mineral deposits from corroding the coating.
- Curing can be accelerated by using infrared heaters/lamps
Remember that temperature and humidity can affect the flash-off time of ceramic coatings. Higher temperatures or humidity levels can shorten removal times.
Ceramic coatings can crystallize on your applicator during installation, we recommend replacing your applicator towels at least once during the process.
Maintenance of the coating:
Do not wash the vehicle for at least 7 days after application to allow the coating to fully cure before washing.
Use only pH-neutral or balanced products to clean the vehicle. High-quality washing media and drying towels are also recommended.
Recommended maintenance products,
For your pre-wash needs, we recommend Superfoam PH neutral snow foam for regular washing.
For contact washing, for example, use our Autobrite Ceramicshield Shampoo to clean and help ensure optimal maintenance of your coating!
