Air conditioning uses a refrigerant, which causes water to condense on the evaporator. Because the evaporator is installed in a cool, sun-free location and has limited water drainage, it's an ideal breeding ground for impurities like mold and bacteria. Start the engine. Set the air conditioning system to internal airflow, circulating the air at full power through the dashboard fans. Place the Airco Cleaner in the footwell behind the passenger seat. Make sure the can is upright. Press the nozzle down to lock it. Exit the vehicle after checking that all doors are closed. Once the can has completely emptied, let the air conditioning system run for another 5 minutes. Turn off the vehicle engine, open all doors, and let the air evaporate for approximately 15 to 30 minutes. Note: Moisture may form near operating parts, such as the handbrake/gear lever. This moisture is harmless and can be wiped away with a dry, clean cloth.
